Malaga Airport passenger figures up for Easter week (semana santa) 2018 with an increased growth on last year. AENA said they had nearly 1.3 million visitors in March making Malaga airport the 3rd busiest airport in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona.
With 9,942 flights landing and taking off during March, figures are up by almost 9% with the new international routes being introduced and for the 1st quarter over 3 million have passed through the airport. The pinnacle day was March 31st with 449 landings and take offs travellers reached 60,791 on this day alone.
The Costal del Sol is still one of the top Mediterranean holiday spots in southern Europe and with improvements planned for terminal 2 starting soon visitors to the region are set to increase.
