How to get there?
San Pedro de Alcantara is just a few minutes’ drive away from Puerto Banus and is close to 65km from Malaga Airport. It is also close to the incredibly beautiful Sierra de Rona mountains and the beautiful beachside community of Guadalmina which is also a popular tourist attraction. The town of San Pedro is easily accessible by car on the N340 as well as the AP7 toll road. Bus routes are also available.
Beaches in San Pedro
If you like sandy beaches and relaxing in the sun, you’re in luck. San Pedro de Alcantara is home to over 2km of fantastic beaches, all of which are easily accessible. This includes San Pedro Beach, Linda Vista Beach and Guadalmina beach. All of the beaches here are watched over by lifeguard towers and are a great place to soak up some sunshine. If you fancy something a bit more exciting, you can also rent a jet ski or go to one of the chiringuitos and beach bars all the way along the delightful, tree lined boulevard.
History and culture
There is also plenty to see and do in San Pedro. The town is rich in history and culture with many beautiful, historic sites close to the town including the 3rd century Roman baths. There is also the colonial style church in the heart of San Pedro de Alcantara which was constructed by the Marqués del Duero in 1866. The church is also situated near the central plaza which is a lovely place to take a walk around and explore the shops, cafes and bars.
